Privacy Policy
This website collects as little information about you as it reasonably can. This page explains exactly what that means.

Who this policy covers
This policy applies to kapiconsulting.ca and to personal information Kapi Consulting collects through it. Kapi Consulting is a sole-practitioner consulting firm based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, serving clients in Canada and the United States.
For any question about this policy, or about information we hold, contact info@kapiconsulting.ca.
What this website does not do
We think it is worth stating plainly. This website:
- sets no cookies;
- runs no analytics — we do not use Google Analytics or any equivalent;
- contains no advertising, tracking pixels or social media trackers;
- loads no third-party scripts or fonts — every file the site needs is served from our own domain, so browsing it does not report your visit to anyone else;
- does not build a profile of you, and does not sell or rent personal information to anybody, ever.
What we do collect
Information you choose to send us. If you contact us by email, telephone or through the enquiry form, we receive whatever you include — typically your name, your organisation, your email address or phone number, and what you tell us about your operation. The enquiry form on this site prepares a message in your own email application; your details reach us only when you choose to send that message.
Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information for every request to the site, such as the IP address making the request, the time of the request, the page requested and the browser identifier. These logs are generated by the hosting infrastructure, are used only to operate and secure the website, and are not combined with anything else to identify you.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if it goes further, to discuss and deliver consulting work.
- To keep records of our business correspondence and engagements.
- To keep the website running, available and secure.
- To meet legal, tax and professional record-keeping obligations.
We rely on your consent, given when you contact us, and on our legitimate interest in operating the website and responding to enquiries about our services. We do not send marketing emails to people who have simply visited the site.
Who else sees it
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. It may be handled by service providers acting on our behalf, strictly to the extent needed to provide their service:
- Our web host, which stores the website files and generates the server logs described above.
- Our email provider, which carries correspondence between us.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, for example in response to a valid legal process.
Where it is stored
Information may be stored or processed on servers located outside British Columbia, including in the United States and elsewhere. Where that happens, the information may be accessible to the courts and authorities of that country under its laws.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept only as long as they are useful for correspondence, and are then deleted. Records relating to client engagements are kept for as long as needed for the engagement and afterwards for the period required by legal, tax and professional obligations. Server logs are retained for a short period by the hosting provider under its own schedule.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information in our care, including access controls on the accounts that hold it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — in particular, ordinary email is not a secure channel, so please do not send confidential or sensitive material by email without arranging a secure method with us first.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law — the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) — you may:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and request access to it;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete information we no longer need;
- withdraw your consent to our use of it, subject to legal and contractual limits.
Write to info@kapiconsulting.ca and we will respond within the time required by law, normally 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Links to other websites
This site links to external websites, such as LinkedIn. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and this policy does not apply to them. Review their policies before providing them with information.
Children
This website offers professional services to businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version takes effect when it is posted here, and the date at the top of this page will change. If a change is significant, we will make that clear on the page.
